What is a Working Permit?
A working permit in Indonesia consists of two main components:
IMTA (Expatriate Work Permit)
Issued by the Ministry of Manpower, it gives legal approval for a company to hire a foreign worker in a specific role.Work KITAS (Limited Stay Permit)
Granted by the Directorate General of Immigration, allowing the foreigner to live and work legally in Indonesia during the contract period (usually 6–12 months).

Requirements for a Working Permit
For the company/employer:
Valid business license (NIB, SIUP, etc.)
Company tax number (NPWP)
Expatriate Placement Plan (RPTKA) approval
Employment contract
Sponsor letter
For the foreign employee:
Passport (valid minimum 18 months)
Recent photographs
CV and diploma (translated if required)
Vaccination certificate (if applicable)
Health or insurance documents
